Black Panther, was regarded as a <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/black-panther-how-changed-world-superhero-movies\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">cultural milestone<\/a>. So, the idea that the moviegoers would be deprived of his presence was devastating.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet here we are in 2022 with a new film \u2013 <em>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Marvel Studios\u2019 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever | Official Trailer\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_Z3QKkl1WyM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Naturally, Boseman&#8217;s not the star this time around. And the title of &#8220;Black Panther&#8221; now goes to another (no spoilers here, don&#8217;t worry!). Nevertheless, his <a href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/black-panther-wakanda-forever-featurette-chadwick-boseman-influence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">influence and impact<\/a> are inescapable, as are T&#8217;Challa&#8217;s lessons on leading with love, firmness and justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conjunction with the release of the film and in honour of Boseman&#8217;s amazing turn in the role, we look back on five leadership lessons from Black Panther&#8217;s appearances in the MCU over the years; one of which also celebrates the filmmakers&#8217; bold decision to soldier on after the death of the movie&#8217;s star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Everyone fails, even kings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"width:100%;height:0;padding-bottom:56%;position:relative;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/xThtam9aDEYjCgSM80\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" style=\"position:absolute\" frameBorder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowFullScreen><\/iframe><\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/marvelstudios-xThtam9aDEYjCgSM80\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all make mistakes. And entrepreneurs, like everyone else, can and will slip up. Yet success in both business and life is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/forbesbusinesscouncil\/2020\/07\/29\/11-valuable-lessons-business-owners-can-learn-from-failure\/?sh=29bc898717e0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">not defined by our mistakes<\/a>. However, business leadership is not and should never be a popularity contest. It&#8217;s doing right by your enterprise and your team and making decisions <a href=\"https:\/\/qnet.net\/2019\/11\/07\/fears-of-direct-sellers-how-to-overcome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">without fear or favour<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, that&#8217;s what T&#8217;Challa realised once when faced with a tough call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, there&#8217;s always the possibility of crashing and burning. As such, strive towards the forging of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/columbiabusinessschool\/2019\/05\/10\/leading-from-the-center-the-importance-of-partnerships-to-startup-success\/?sh=252ea36d4d56\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">strong, formidable relationships<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Granted, trust is a two-way street, and you must listen actively and be responsive constantly. But it is possible to secure unbreakable bonds \u2014 as T&#8217;Challa did with Okoye, his sister Shuri, Captain America and yes, the Avengers \u2014 by building bridges and resolving to deal with conflict compassionately, efficiently and effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To lead is to empower<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"width:100%;height:0;padding-bottom:56%;position:relative;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/WxYf5j5feVtKQ6Zzgv\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" style=\"position:absolute\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/marvelstudios-marvel-black-panther-studios-WxYf5j5feVtKQ6Zzgv\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While bold and quick-thinking leaders are an asset to any organisation, what also speaks to one&#8217;s leadership qualities are the people you lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you supported and encouraged your team members&#8217; personal and professional growth? Have they been presented with opportunities to take charge? Are they ready to step up and take over in your stead?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A true leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/glennllopis\/2014\/07\/29\/leadership-is-about-enabling-the-full-potential-in-others\/?sh=ed22a9a6698a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">paves the way<\/a> for those below to reach their potential, and sometimes, all it takes is for you to move aside, like old King T&#8217;Chaka did many times, and allow the new Black Panther to take charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Seize every opportunity, even when it hurts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"width:100%;height:0;padding-bottom:56%;position:relative;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/71HJvB4rs9Lqgn8jh0\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" style=\"position:absolute\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/marvelstudios-marvel-black-panther-studios-71HJvB4rs9Lqgn8jh0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No one wants or hopes for tragedy. But it is in the most challenging moments that some leaders come into their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like personal failure, disasters can deflate you and your team. Nevertheless, they can also present you with an opportunity to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/growing-a-business\/5-ways-to-pivot-your-business-during-a-crisis\/349394\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">pivot tragedy into growth<\/a> by being adaptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the movie, T&#8217;chala, for instance, didn&#8217;t hope for his father to be killed. By that same token, neither did <em>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever <\/em>writer-director Ryan Coogler want star Chadwick Boseman to succumb to his illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coogler said he considered <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/movies\/black-panther-ryan-coogler-almost-quit-filmmaking-after-chadwick-boseman-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">walking away<\/a> from films completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, those events resulted in outside-the-box thinking and saw leaders, in film and real life, changing course and guiding their teams through heartbreak to victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So as you settle in your seat with a large box of popcorn in hand to enjoy the movie of the year, take in also the overarching lessons on leadership. Yes, it is challenging.
