Climate change is the greatest threat to our planet\u2019s future. The levels of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere are at their highest levels in two million years and are climbing. These gases are warming our planet. We are already witnessing their impact as increased droughts, wildfires, floods, and storms ravage our communities and animal species, teetering on the brink of extinction. We must act now to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure our children inherit a habitable planet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Do We Need to Address Climate Change?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have lived through several disasters over the last decade that have been caused by climate change, directly or indirectly. Over the next decade, we can expect more natural disasters, illnesses and catastrophes. We know through science that the problem is man-made. While we can\u2019t reverse what has been already lost, we can do our bit to make a positive difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These suppliers undergo independent audits based on the Council’s Code of Practices, ensuring adherence to guidelines related to human and labour rights, environmental impact, and fair mining practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternative Packaging<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All QNET product packaging uses eco-friendly materials such as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper and recyclable sleeves and boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The QNET Green Legacy actively contributes to environmental conservation through a global reforestation initiative. In 2021, we partnered with EcoMatcher to kick-start this and have since participated in reforestation efforts through various organisations in communities worldwide. So far, we have planted trees in the following countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philippines \u2013 1,000 trees<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For its Philippine forest<\/a>, QNET teamed up with Fostering Education and Environment for Development (FEED) to help grow, preserve, and protect the country\u2019s biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Arab Emirates \u2013 1,000 trees<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We partnered with the Emirates Marine Environmental Group (EMEG), a non-profit based in Dubai, to plant mangroves<\/a> that are essential in protecting coastal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kenya \u2013 1,000 trees<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Through the non-profit organisation Trees for Kenya, we planted eight different tree species<\/a> to help the local communities combat the negative effects of climate change.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
